Rug Cleaners in Taunton
Modern rugs are coloured and finished in many different ways using a variety of materials, dyes and processes in their assembly.
Our technicians use rug steam cleaners and are highly skilled in hot water extraction cleaning.
This is regarded as the most effective procedure for cleaning rugs. We are confident that we can restore the original colours of your rug using this method.

- Step 1: Inspecting your Rug Prior to Cleaning
Our rug cleaning technician will provide a thorough survey and inspection of the rug to be cleaned. He will identify potential permanent stains and also look for existing damage and give you an evaluation of expected results. Some rugs can only be dry cleaned. - Step 2: Power vacuuming of your rug
One of the most important steps in rug cleaning is dry soil removal by a thorough, powerful vacuum. Removing dry soil is vital to ensure a fresh look after cleaning. - Step 3: Rug Preconditioning and soil suspension
A highly effective professional rug cleaning agent is applied to break down traffic area soil and general spots for a more thorough rug cleaning. This “Pre-Spray” solution is specially selected based on the fibre of your rug, as well as the general state of the rug.
A professional Oriental rug groomer is used to loosen the soil to enable a better clean. We only use soft brushes specifically designed for use on soft fabrics - Step 4: The Cleaning Method
Using our professional Rug cleaning machine, we then thoroughly clean and rinse your Rugs. The twin-vacuum, high-pressure hot water extraction unit we use cleans much better because it heats water to a high temperature and then sprays the cleaning solution into the Rug at high pressure.
This helps to break up the dirt, bacteria and pollens in the carpet. The machine then produces a huge vacuum volume that extracts the dirt and solutions out of your Rug
- Step 6: Post Cleaning
Your freshly washed oriental or general area rug is groomed with a professional groomer so that the pile of your rug is all laying in the same direction. Post grooming with an oriental rug brush is essential. - Step 7: Speed Drying
Rug Cleaners Taunton uses Turbo Air Movers which are directed over the rug immediately after cleaning to promote faster drying. We also use de-humidifiers and controlled temperature to help maintain a correct drying environment for wool and linen rugs. This is the most important stage as delicate fibres can turn brown if left wet for days.
I had my large rug cleaned last week and it looks amazing. The colours have come back and the pile feels much softer now.
Gary explained everything clearly, worked quickly, and left the rug spotless. Really happy with the results and will book again soon.
